We are proud to support and collaborate with various local, national and international charities. Participants can choose from an array of charities, allowing for thousands of dollars to be raised each year. We encourage those interested in racing with a charitable organization to do so.

Cure SMA

Cure SMA chapters provide a base of community and support for families affected by SMA, work together to organize Walk-n-Rolls or other fundraising events, and keep their members informed of opportunities for local advocacy and awareness.

HELP
The HIV, Education and Law Project, HELP Inc., provides a voice for the disenfranchised through the provision of free legal services to indigent people infected with, and affected by HIV/AIDS in South Florida. HELP represents clients in matters ranging from housing and employment discrimination to family law matters, and helps place children in stable homes after losing their parents to the virus.

Presidential Active Lifestyle Award

In support of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative to end childhood obesity within a generation, the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition is challenging Americans of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to achieve the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award (PALA).

Participants of the First Watch Sarasota Half Marathon & Relay who demonstrate proper training, physical activity and healthy eating goals as part of the partnership with this Presidential Campaign are eligible to qualify for a PALA, including a certificate signed by the Council co-chairs and the President of the United States.

Step 1:
Visit www.PresidentsChallenge.com, select “Register Now” and complete the necessary information as an individual or as a coordinator (for group leaders).

Step 2:
Search under “Search Groups” for First Watch Sarasota Half Marathon & Relay and join.

Now it’s your turn to track your physical fitness and nutrition goals to achieve the PALA while training for the First Watch Sarasota Half Marathon & Relay.
